The Cloud Networking Architect will be part of a team which designs and develops the architecture of cloud networking products that meet customer needs, scalable, and reliable.
The ideal candidate for this role will have IT infrastructure experience in both Cloud and On-premises network architecture and administration.
The role will require the candidate to provide technical expertise to build product features in and around cloud/on-premises networking services to solve a set of business requirements.
The role also requires strategic planning and delivery of networking products/services and features which enable organization goals including cost savings, high availability, disaster recovery, increase in speed of product, reduction in time to delivery, network platform documentation, leadership of the networking Operations team, agile management of work delivery, knowledge base creation, and excellent communication.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Hybrid Cloud Networking Product Owner, your primary responsibility is to lead the development and management of the networking product roadmap for Hybrid cloud infrastructure. Here are some specific responsibilities:
Develop and manage the product roadmap: Based on the product vision and strategy, the product owner should create a detailed roadmap that outlines the features and functionalities that will be developed and when they will be released.
Gather and prioritize requirements: The product owner should work with stakeholders, customers, and internal teams to identify and prioritize the features and functionalities that are needed in the product.
Designing product architecture: You will be responsible for designing the architecture of cloud networking products, including defining the high-level system architecture and ensuring that it is scalable, reliable, and meets customer needs.
Manage the product backlog: The product owner should maintain a prioritized backlog of features and functionalities that need to be developed and communicate this to the development team.
Developing technical specifications: You will develop technical specifications that describe the product architecture, including the overall system design, component architecture, and software design.
Providing technical guidance: You will provide technical guidance and support to engineers and other stakeholders throughout the product development process, including reviewing design documents and providing feedback.
Evaluating new technologies: You will evaluate new technologies and tools that can be used to enhance the product architecture and improve product performance.
Ensuring security and compliance: You will ensure that the product architecture meets security and compliance requirements, including developing security protocols and ensuring that the product complies with relevant regulations.
Monitor product performance: The product owner should continuously monitor the performance of the product, gather feedback from customers, and make necessary adjustments to the product roadmap to ensure that the product is meeting customer needs.
Manage product releases: The product owner should oversee the release of new product features, ensuring that they are delivered on time and meet the defined requirements.
Communicate product updates: The product owner should communicate updates and changes to the product roadmap and backlog to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Overall 10+ years’ combined experience in IT and networking architecture in hybrid cloud environments.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Advanced English skills, both written and verbal
Experience in designing, developing, and delivering successful networking products/services.
Experience with the implementation of networking services in Azure or AWS
Familiarity with cloud computing technologies, such as Azure & AWS
Certifications such as CCNP, Microsoft certified Azure Solution Architect and AWS Certified Solutions Architect is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Networking Concepts: You should have a strong understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and load balancing.
Azure Networking Services: You should be proficient in Azure networking services such as Virtual Networks, Subnets, Network Security Groups, Azure Firewall, Azure Traffic Manager, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Front Door and Content Delivery Network (CDN).
Security: You should have knowledge of Azure security services like Azure Security Center, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Key Vault.
Automation: You should have experience with automation tools like Azure Resource Manager, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
Hybrid Networking: You should understand hybrid networking architectures such as Azure ExpressRoute, Site-to-Site VPN, Point-to-Site VPN and AWS Direct connect.
Cloud Networking Design: You should have experience in designing cloud networking architectures that are highly available, scalable, and secure.
Troubleshooting: You should be able to troubleshoot network issues using tools like Azure Network Watcher and other diagnostic tools.
DevOps: You should be able to work closely with DevOps teams to design and implement networking solutions that are compatible with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
