We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Owner to join our R&D team, working on a variety of healthcare projects. The Senior Product Owner will be responsible for conducting product definition, prioritizing product requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, requirement engineering, and Agile methodologies, along with an ideally goodunderstanding of the healthcare domain.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders, business lines and clinical areas to fully understand customer requirements through conduction of regular meetings;
Gather and analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to define product vision and strategy;
Createand maintain the Product backlog, adding new requirements/user stories, defining acceptance criteria, further refining, and prioritizing team backlog items;
Ensure clear communication of customer needs to the development team, helping and motivating the team to understand and implement product backlog items including providing clarity on project priorities;
Bridge the gap between strategic and operational customers and the development team;
Facilitate sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings, ensuring continuous improvement of processes and product quality;
Assess and accept product increments based on defined acceptance criteria, ensuring high-quality product delivery;
Optimize the value of the work delivered by the development team;
Ensure the quality of product delivery, and authorize the final delivery of increments, projects or products;
Prepare training and documentation for customers and operations.
Qualifications and skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer scienceor a related field;
7+ years of experience in software development projects, with at least 5 years in a Product Owner role;
Extensive requirement engineering experience;
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions with proactive approach and high flexibility;
Proven record of accomplishment of delivering successful products ideally in the healthcare domain;
Experience working with electronic health records, medical workflows, and healthcare regulations is a plus;
Knowledge of Agile and/or Scrum metrics, such as Lead time, Cycle time, team Capacity, team Velocity and Throughput is beneficial;
Familiarity with cloud-based services (AWS, GCP, Heroku) is a plus;
Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) are welcomed;
Fluent Portuguese and English (Spanish is a plus).
